Iyengar Yoga Text
Iyengar Yoga uses conscious movement in the poses of Hatha yoga to bring intelligence throughout the body. This approach emphasizes precise alignment to develop balance in strength and flexibility, effort and relaxation. B.K.S. Iyengar introduced the use of props to allow all students to access poses, regardless of their physical conditions. Teachers use props to support students as they become stronger, to make actions accessible while they develop flexibility and to soothe them in relaxation.
